Summary Fair

Assessor Emma Crawshaw

Notes Decorative stud on right hand side is loose (probably could be reattached) It also hold in a brass band around the crown. Has been repaired in the past; evidence of soldering. Areas of leather missing from exterior of helmet, but seems to have been painted over. Internally the leather skullcap is no longer tied together and is coming away from the body of the helmet. It has cracked and is flaking; generally poor condition. Leather chinstrap is sound. A small amount of corrosion on parts of the brass.
